The Founder's Story
SecondAct wasn’t born from an idea. It was born from a moment.
What happens when the life you've worked so hard to build no longer feels like the life you're meant to live?
For almost three decades, I built what many would call a successful career. I spent 28 years leading businesses with global brands like Hyatt Hotels and Lufthansa German Airlines. I loved building teams, creating customer experiences, solving complex problems, and growing people. The work was meaningful, the career rewarding, and from the outside, life looked exactly as it should.
Yet somewhere along the way, I began to realise that success and fulfilment are not always the same thing.
Nothing dramatic happened. There wasn't a single crisis that changed everything. There was simply a quiet knowing that something inside me had shifted. The person I had become wanted a different way of living, leading, and contributing.
That realisation was uncomfortable.
For months, I resisted it. I questioned myself. I wondered if I was simply restless or ungrateful. I searched for answers outside myself before I learnt to become still enough to hear my own.
Those months became the most important education of my life.
I discovered that reinvention is rarely about becoming someone new. It is about remembering who you've always been beneath the expectations, titles, responsibilities, and roles you've carried for years.
As I rebuilt my own life, I immersed myself in coaching, behavioural science, personal growth, and the study of purposeful living. But the greatest learning didn't come from books or certifications.
It came from listening.
Listening to women who had successful careers yet felt invisible. Women who had raised families and were wondering, "What now?" Women who had achieved everything they thought they wanted but could no longer ignore the quiet voice asking for something more.
Their stories were different.
Their turning point was the same.
They weren't looking to escape their lives.
They were looking to reconnect with themselves.
That's when I realised my own journey wasn't just personal.
It was the beginning of a much larger purpose.
SecondAct was created to hold space for women standing at that threshold, the space between who they have been and who they are becoming.
Today, through leadership programmes, coaching, retreats, storytelling experiences, and the Discover Your SecondAct podcast, I've had the privilege of walking alongside hundreds of women as they rediscover clarity, confidence, courage, and voice. Every conversation reminds me that reinvention has no age, no title, and no perfect timing.
You don't need permission to begin again.
You don't need to have everything figured out.
You don't need to burn your life down to build a meaningful one.
Sometimes your SecondAct begins with something much quieter.
- A pause.
- An honest question.
- One courageous decision.
Because your SecondAct isn't about starting over.
It's about choosing yourself-perhaps for the very first time, and intentionally creating the life that comes next.
